Första april och påsk, men Extinction Rebellion tar inte ledigt för det!
Torsdag. 1:a april: Bankaktion i Malmö
Första samlingen: 9.00 vid Sankt Petri Kyrka
Andra samlingen: 14.30 vid S:t Johannes Kyrka / Triangeln
Den 1 april har vi ställt in vårt möte på Smålands för att delta i XR Skånes aktion för det internationella Global Money Rebellion Wave. Runt om i världen kommer olika grupper göra aktioner mot de finansiella institut och banker som finansierar fossilindustrin.
Sedan Parisavtalet undertecknades har svenska banker lånat ut nästan 400 miljarder kronor till oljeindustrin. Nyligen lånade SEB, Nordea, Swedbank och Danske Bank tillsammans ut ytterligare 97 miljarder för prospektering och utvinning av olja i Arktis – ett av de mest ömtåliga ekosystemen i världen.
Vi måste sätta press på bankerna. Det är hög tid för de finansiella instituten att ta ansvar för klimatkrisen. Bankernas kunder måste få veta sanningen – att deras pengar hjälper till att pumpa upp olja i Arktis.
Var tredje torsdag genomför därför Extinction Rebellion Skåne aktioner mot de banker som finansierar fossilindustrin.
Den första april gör vi två aktioner eftersom the är Global Money Rebellion Wave, en på förmiddagen och en på eftermiddagen. Det går att var med på båda eller bara en utav dem.
Vem kan delta: Alla! Det kommer finns olika uppgifter och roller med olika risknivåer. Vi arbetar i mindre vängrupper. Kortare aktionsträning sker vid samlingen.

April and Easter are coming up, but Extinction Rebellion is still up and going! Here is some information about what’s going on here in Lund / Malmö at the moment.
Thursday. April 1: Banking action in Malmö
First collection: 9.00 at St. Petri Church
Second collection: 14.30 at St. John’s Church / Triangle
On April 1, we have cancelled our meeting at Smålands to participate in XR Skåne’s action as a part of the international campaign ”Global Money Rebellion Wave”. Around the world, various groups will take action against the financial institutions and banks that finance the fossil fuel industry.
Since the Paris Agreement was signed, Swedish banks have lent almost SEK 400 billion to the oil industry. Recently, SEB, Nordea, Swedbank and Danske Bank together lent an additional SEK 97 billion for exploration and production of oil in the Arctic – one of the most fragile ecosystems in the world.
We must put pressure on the banks. It is high time for financial institutions to take responsibility for the climate crisis. Banks’ customers need to know the truth – that their money is helping to pump up oil in the Arctic.
Every third Thursday, Extinction Rebellion Skåne conducts actions against the banks that finance the fossil fuel industry.
On the first of April, there will be two actions; one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You can participate in both or just one of them.
Who can participate?: Everyone! There will be different tasks and roles with different risk levels. We work in smaller groups of friends. A shorter action training will take place at the gathering.
